For Jewish families across New Jersey, New York, and Maryland, searching
for mental-health or recovery support can feel overwhelming. A woman may
need help with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, disordered eating,
self-harm, or more than one concern at the same time.
Families often need more than a general behavioral-health program with
occasional religious accommodations. They need a private, fully Jewish
environment where a woman can receive meaningful clinical support without
having to explain her identity, values, family life, or religious
background.
IKANN Wellness is a fully Jewish women’s mental-health and recovery center
in South Florida. We work with women and families from Jewish communities
throughout New Jersey, New York, and Maryland who are considering
Florida-based care.
Whether a woman is from Lakewood, Passaic, Teaneck, Brooklyn, Monsey, the
Five Towns, Baltimore, Pikesville, or another community, conversations with
our team are private and confidential.
A Fully Jewish Environment for Women to Heal
IKANN Wellness provides a women-focused setting built around Jewish values,
cultural understanding, dignity, and compassionate clinical care.
Our team works with women facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and
recovery concerns, including addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression,
eating-disorder concerns, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring
mental-health challenges.
The appropriate level of care is determined through a confidential
assessment based on each woman’s individual needs. Services may include
Partial Hospitalization Program, also called PHP or day programming,
Intensive Outpatient Program, also called IOP, Women’s Night IOP,
individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, parent support,
trauma-informed care, EMDR therapy, holistic therapies, and animal-assisted
therapeutic activities.
The IKANN Wellness and Yacholet Connection
IKANN Wellness works alongside Yacholet, a Jewish nonprofit organization in
South Florida created to support young Jewish women in crisis.
IKANN Wellness provides clinical mental-health and recovery services. For
eligible women, when appropriate, Yacholet may provide therapeutic
supportive living, mentoring, life-skills development, Jewish community
connection, and practical support.
Yacholet offers a warm Jewish living environment with kosher lifestyle
support, Shabbat and holiday connection, and meaningful community. Clinical
and therapeutic services are provided by IKANN Wellness.
Together, IKANN Wellness and Yacholet may create a connected path for
eligible women that includes clinical care, therapeutic supportive living
when appropriate, family involvement, Jewish community, and support for a
safer transition toward stability and independence.

A Private Fresh Start Away From Home
For some women, being away from the pressure, triggers, relationships, or
expectations of home creates the space needed to focus on healing. A change
of environment can provide privacy, perspective, and the chance to build
healthier patterns with the right support around her.

Families may wish to discuss whether PHP, IOP, outpatient therapy, or
another level of care is appropriate; whether hospital-based stabilization

supportive living may be appropriate; family therapy and parent support;
and planning for a safe transition after treatment.

When Immediate Help Is Needed
If a woman is in immediate danger, has thoughts of suicide, cannot remain
safe, needs urgent medical care, or may need medical detoxification, call
or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
IKANN Wellness is an outpatient mental-health and recovery center.
Emergency or hospital-based stabilization may be needed before outpatient
treatment begins.
