Jewish Women’s Mental Health and Recovery Care for Monsey, NY Families

For Jewish women and families in Monsey, asking for help with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, disordered eating, self-harm, or another mental health challenge can feel very difficult. In a close-knit community, families need care that is private, clinically appropriate, women-only, and fully respectful of Jewish life.

IKANN Wellness is a fully Jewish women’s mental health and recovery center in South Florida. Jewish life is not an added track or a separate option. It is the foundation of who we are, the environment we provide, and the way we support women and families.

Our clinical office is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We work with women and families from Monsey, Rockland County, and Jewish communities throughout New York who are considering care outside their immediate community.

IKANN Wellness does not have a physical treatment location in Monsey. Families can speak confidentially with our team to learn whether Florida-based care may be appropriate for their individual situation.

A Jewish Place to Heal

A woman should not have to choose between getting help and remaining connected to her Jewish identity, values, and way of life.

IKANN Wellness was created to give Jewish women a safe place to heal while being understood. We recognize that women from observant and close-knit communities may carry concerns about privacy, stigma, family relationships, shidduchim, community expectations, and the fear of being misunderstood.

Our goal is to provide a respectful environment where a woman can be honest about what she is experiencing and begin building a healthier future without judgment.

Care is designed around women’s mental health, recovery, emotional stability, and personal growth. Treatment may include:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program, also called PHP or day programming
  • Intensive Outpatient Program, also called IOP
  • Women’s Night IOP
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy and parent support
  • Trauma-informed care
  • EMDR therapy
  • Holistic therapies
  • Animal-assisted therapeutic activities
  • Support for addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, eating-disorder concerns, and co-occurring mental health challenges

The appropriate level of care is determined through a confidential assessment based on each woman’s clinical needs.

Jewish Values, Kosher Support, and Community Connection

For Monsey families, Jewish care means more than a program that can accommodate religious needs. It means being in an environment where Jewish life is already understood and respected.

IKANN Wellness is a Jewish women’s center. Our services are built to support Jewish women seeking mental health and recovery care while remaining connected to their values, family, and community.

IKANN Wellness works alongside Yacholet, a Jewish nonprofit organization in Hollywood, Florida. Yacholet supports young Jewish women in crisis through trauma-informed support, therapeutic supportive living, life-skills development, mentoring, Jewish community engagement, and community programming.

Yacholet provides a warm and supportive Jewish living environment with kosher food, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and meaningful community connection. Therapeutic services at Yacholet are provided by IKANN Wellness.

Together, IKANN Wellness and Yacholet can provide a connected path that includes clinical care, supportive living when appropriate, Jewish community, and practical support for women rebuilding stability and independence.

Families can learn more about Yacholet at yacholet.org.

A Fresh Start Away From Home

For some women, leaving the pressures, triggers, relationships, or expectations of home can create the space needed to focus on healing. A different environment may help a woman take a step back, regain perspective, and build new patterns with support around her.

Traveling from Monsey to South Florida for care is an important decision. Our team can speak confidentially with a woman or her family about whether IKANN Wellness is the right fit.

Topics to discuss may include:

  • Whether PHP, IOP, outpatient therapy, or another level of care is appropriate
  • Whether immediate hospital-based stabilization is needed first
  • Insurance verification and financial considerations
  • Travel and local living arrangements
  • Whether Yacholet’s therapeutic supportive living may be appropriate
  • Family involvement and parent support
  • Planning for a safe transition after treatment

IKANN Wellness can verify insurance benefits before a family makes a commitment. Call 786-504-7626 or visit ikannwellness.com/insurance/ to begin the process.

When Immediate Help Is Needed

If a woman is in immediate danger, has thoughts of suicide, cannot remain safe, needs urgent medical care, or may need medical detoxification, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.

IKANN Wellness is an outpatient mental health and recovery center. Emergency or hospital-based stabilization may be needed before outpatient treatment begins.
