Women’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Lakewood, NJ Families

Women’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Jewish Families From Lakewood, NJ

When a woman needs significant clinical support, several hours a day, most days of the week, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides the most structured level of outpatient care.

IKANN Wellness is a fully Jewish women’s mental-health and recovery center in South Florida. Jewish life is the foundation of the environment, not an add-on, so a woman does not have to choose between care and identity.

IKANN Wellness does not have a physical treatment location in Lakewood, NJ. We work with women and families from Lakewood who are considering Florida-based care. Conversations with our team are private and confidential.

Families from Lakewood often consider PHP when a woman:

  • Needs daily clinical structure but not round-the-clock supervision
  • Is stepping down from hospital or residential care
  • Has significant anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use affecting daily functioning
  • Has tried a lighter level of care without enough support
  • Needs coordinated therapy across a full day, most days of the week

PHP is an outpatient level of care. It does not provide medical detoxification or 24-hour supervision, and a woman who needs either will be guided toward the right starting point.

What Women’s PHP Addresses

PHP provides the most structured outpatient care for the concerns that most often bring a woman to treatment.

Anxiety and Depression

Persistent worry and low mood are supported through structured, daily therapy and coping-skill development.

Trauma

Trauma-informed care, including EMDR therapy where appropriate, helps women process painful experiences at a safe, paced rhythm.

Substance Use

Structured daily support for women whose use of alcohol or drugs requires significant clinical attention.

Co-Occurring Challenges

When mental-health and substance-use concerns overlap, they are treated together rather than separately.

Step-Down From a Higher Level of Care

PHP is often the right next step after hospital or residential stabilization.

Family Involvement

Family therapy and parent support help loved ones understand the process and stay connected.

Treatment Programs Available

IKANN Wellness provides outpatient levels of care. The right level of care is determined through a confidential assessment, not assumed in advance.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Structured daytime treatment, several hours a day, most days of the week, for women who need significant clinical support. Also called PHP or day programming.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A lighter weekly schedule than PHP that continues the clinical work while a woman rebuilds daily routines and responsibilities.

Women’s Night IOP

Intensive outpatient care in the evening for women who need their days free. Attended in person in South Florida.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions that help a woman understand her patterns, build coping skills, and work toward stability.

Group Therapy

Shared experience and guided discussion with other women in a private, understanding setting.

Family Therapy & Parent Support

Helps loved ones understand the recovery process and stay connected while a woman is in care in South Florida.

Approaches Used in Care

Care is trauma-informed and built around the whole woman, not a single diagnosis.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy helps women process distressing memories and trauma-related distress in a structured, paced way.

Trauma-Informed Care

Emotional safety, trust, and choice shape how care is delivered at every stage.

Holistic Therapies

Complementary approaches that support whole-person healing alongside clinical care.

Animal-Assisted Therapeutic Activities

Experiential support that helps with emotional awareness and regulation.

A Private Fresh Start Outside Lakewood, NJ

For some women, a fresh start outside a small, close-knit community makes it easier to focus fully on stabilizing. Distance can offer privacy and space away from the pressures that were part of the difficulty.

Travelling to South Florida for care is an important decision, and no family should feel rushed into it. Families may wish to discuss:

  • Where a woman would stay while attending in-person care
  • How family will stay involved from a distance
  • What happens if a higher level of care is needed
  • The plan for stepping down and returning home
  • How insurance benefits will be verified before any commitment

Insurance and Costs

IKANN Wellness can verify insurance benefits before a family makes a commitment. Coverage depends on the individual plan and level of care, so the most reliable step is a confidential benefits check. Call (786) 504-7626 or visit our insurance page.
