Jewish Women’s Drug and Alcohol Recovery Care for Lakewood, NJ Families

Women’s Drug and Alcohol Recovery Care for Lakewood, NJ Families

When a daughter, wife, or mother in Lakewood is struggling with alcohol or drugs, the first question is often not which program, but how to keep it private in a community where everyone knows everyone.

IKANN Wellness is a fully Jewish women’s mental-health and addiction recovery center in South Florida providing outpatient levels of care. Many women who seek women’s addiction treatment are also living with anxiety, depression, or trauma, and care addresses both together.

IKANN Wellness does not have a physical treatment location in Lakewood, NJ. We work with women and families from Lakewood who are considering Florida-based care. Conversations with our team are private and confidential.

Families searching for women’s drug and alcohol rehab in Lakewood often describe:

  • Drinking that has become hard to control
  • Misuse of prescription or other drugs
  • Substance use alongside anxiety, depression, or trauma
  • A return to use after earlier treatment
  • Worry about privacy, stigma, and community expectations
  • Wanting to help a loved one without losing her trust

IKANN Wellness is an outpatient center. It does not provide medical detoxification or residential care, and a woman who may need either will be guided toward the right starting point.

What We Support Women With

Care for women affected by substance use is built around the whole woman.

Alcohol Use

Women concerned about drinking that has become hard to control can receive structured outpatient support. Stopping heavy drinking suddenly can be unsafe, so a medical evaluation may be needed first.

Drug and Prescription Medication Use

Support for women whose use of drugs or prescription medication is affecting their health, family, or safety.

Co-Occurring Mental-Health Challenges

Anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating-disorder concerns often accompany substance use. They are treated together in one plan.

Trauma

For many women, substance use is tied to painful experiences. Trauma-informed care addresses the roots, not only the behavior.

Early Recovery and Relapse

Step-down planning and ongoing support help women maintain progress after earlier treatment.

Family Concerns

Family therapy and parent support help loved ones understand addiction and take part in recovery.

Treatment Programs Available

IKANN Wellness provides outpatient levels of care. The right level of care is determined through a confidential assessment, not assumed in advance.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Structured daytime treatment, several hours a day, most days of the week, for women who need significant clinical support. Also called PHP or day programming.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A lighter weekly schedule than PHP that continues the clinical work while a woman rebuilds daily routines and responsibilities.

Women’s Night IOP

Intensive outpatient care in the evening for women who need their days free. Attended in person in South Florida.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions that help a woman understand her patterns, build coping skills, and work toward stability.

Group Therapy

Shared experience and guided discussion with other women in a private, understanding setting.

Family Therapy & Parent Support

Helps loved ones understand the recovery process and stay connected while a woman is in care in South Florida.

Approaches Used in Care

Care is trauma-informed and built around the whole woman, not a single diagnosis.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy helps women process distressing memories and trauma-related distress in a structured, paced way.

Trauma-Informed Care

Emotional safety, trust, and choice shape how care is delivered at every stage.

Holistic Therapies

Complementary approaches that support whole-person healing alongside clinical care.

Animal-Assisted Therapeutic Activities

Experiential support that helps with emotional awareness and regulation.

What Families From Lakewood, NJ Can Expect

Women and families from Lakewood who are considering Florida-based recovery care can expect a supportive, fully Jewish, women-focused environment.

  • A fully Jewish women’s environment — a woman does not have to explain Shabbat, kashrus, or community concerns before she can begin
  • Substance use and mental health treated together — care addresses what is underneath, not only the substance
  • Honest about level of care — outpatient care is not a substitute for detox or emergency care, and we will say so
  • In-person care in South Florida — PHP, IOP, and the Women’s Night IOP require being physically present
  • Family involvement — family therapy and parent support
  • Insurance benefit verification — IKANN Wellness can verify insurance benefits before a family commits

A Private Fresh Start Outside Lakewood, NJ

For some women, recovery is easier away from familiar settings, routines, and relationships that were tied to substance use. Distance can also protect privacy in a close-knit community.

Travelling to South Florida for care is an important decision, and no family should feel rushed into it. Families may wish to discuss:

  • Where a woman would stay while attending in-person care
  • How family will stay involved from a distance
  • What happens if a higher level of care is needed
  • The plan for stepping down and returning home
  • How insurance benefits will be verified before any commitment

Insurance and Costs

IKANN Wellness can verify insurance benefits before a family makes a commitment. Coverage depends on the individual plan and level of care, so the most reliable step is a confidential benefits check. Call (786) 504-7626 or visit our insurance page.
