Jewish Women’s Mental Health and Recovery Care for Teaneck, NJ Families
Jewish Women’s Mental Health and Recovery Care for Teaneck, NJ Families
For Jewish women and families in Teaneck, Bergenfield, and throughout
Bergen County, seeking help for trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction,
disordered eating, self-harm, or another mental-health concern can feel
overwhelming.
Many families need more than a general program with occasional religious
accommodations. They need a private, women-focused, fully Jewish setting
where a woman can be understood without having to explain her identity,
values, family life, or religious background.
IKANN Wellness is a fully Jewish women’s mental health and recovery center
in South Florida. Jewish life is not a separate track or an add-on. It is
central to the environment, community, and support offered to women and
their families.
IKANN Wellness does not have a physical treatment location in Teaneck. We
work with women and families from Teaneck and Bergen County who are
considering Florida-based care. Conversations with our team are private and
confidential.
A Fully Jewish Environment for Women to Heal
For women in close-knit Jewish communities, concerns about privacy, stigma,
family relationships, community expectations, and shidduchim can make it
harder to ask for help.
At IKANN Wellness, a woman does not have to choose between meaningful
clinical support and connection to her Jewish identity. We provide a
women-focused environment built around Jewish values, cultural
understanding, dignity, and compassionate care.
Our team works with women facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and
recovery concerns, including addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression,
eating-disorder concerns, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring
mental-health challenges.
The appropriate level of care is determined through a confidential
assessment based on each woman’s individual needs. Services may include
Partial Hospitalization Program, also called PHP or day programming,
Intensive Outpatient Program, also called IOP, Women’s Night IOP,
individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, parent support,
trauma-informed care, EMDR therapy, holistic therapies, and animal-assisted
therapeutic activities.
The IKANN Wellness and Yacholet Connection
IKANN Wellness works alongside Yacholet, a Jewish nonprofit organization in
South Florida created to support young Jewish women in crisis.
IKANN Wellness provides clinical mental-health and recovery services. For
eligible women, when appropriate, Yacholet may provide therapeutic
supportive living, mentoring, life-skills development, Jewish community
connection, and practical support while a woman works toward stability and
independence.
Yacholet offers a warm Jewish living environment with kosher lifestyle
support, Shabbat and holiday connection, and meaningful community. Clinical
and therapeutic services are provided by IKANN Wellness.
Together, IKANN Wellness and Yacholet may create a connected path for
eligible women that includes clinical care, therapeutic supportive living
when appropriate, family involvement, Jewish community, and support for a
safer transition into a more stable and independent life.
Families can learn more about Yacholet at yacholet.org.
A Private Fresh Start Outside Teaneck
For some women, being away from the pressure, triggers, relationships, or
expectations of home creates the space needed to focus on healing. A change
of environment can provide privacy, perspective, and the chance to build
healthier patterns with the right support around her.
Traveling to South Florida for care is an important decision. Our team can
speak with a woman or her family about whether IKANN Wellness may be the
right fit and what a realistic next step could look like.
Families may wish to discuss whether PHP, IOP, outpatient therapy, or
another level of care is appropriate; whether hospital-based stabilization
is needed first; insurance verification and financial considerations;
travel and local living arrangements; whether Yacholet’s therapeutic
supportive living may be appropriate; family therapy and parent support;
and planning for a safe transition after treatment.
IKANN Wellness can verify insurance benefits before a family makes a
commitment. Call 786-504-7626 or visit ikannwellness.com/insurance/
to begin the process.
When Immediate Help Is Needed
If a woman is in immediate danger, has thoughts of suicide, cannot remain
safe, needs urgent medical care, or may need medical detoxification, call
or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
IKANN Wellness is an outpatient mental-health and recovery center.
Emergency or hospital-based stabilization may be needed before outpatient
treatment begins.
