Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured, evidence-based mental health treatment with the flexibility to maintain your daily life. With evening sessions available, IOP is ideal for women who need more support than weekly therapy but don't require the full-day structure of our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
At IKANN Wellness, our IOP is designed exclusively for women — providing a safe, supportive environment where you can process trauma, build coping skills, and connect with peers who understand your experience. Whether you're stepping down from PHP, entering treatment for the first time, or managing a crisis while continuing to work, our IOP meets you where you are.
Program structure: 9 hours per week · 3 sessions × 3 hours · Evening scheduling available · Most insurance accepted
For a frum woman balancing family responsibilities, community obligations, and recovery, IOP at IKANN is structured around your actual life — not a generic clinical schedule. Evening sessions mean you can be home for your children during the day, manage your household, and attend to the daily rhythms of frum life without sacrificing the intensive support you need.
Sessions never conflict with Shabbos or Yom Tov. During shorter Erev Shabbos windows in winter, Friday sessions are moved or adjusted so you are never rushing to make candle lighting.
This is not a standard IOP with a kosher label. The clinical content addresses what frum women actually face — the pressure to appear functional at every simcha, the isolation of struggling silently in a community where everyone knows everyone, the fear that seeking help will affect your family's reputation. Your peers in group are women who understand these pressures because they live them. Your therapist understands them because she was trained to.
Not sure which program is right for you? Here's how our two intensive programs compare:
| Feature | PHP | IOP |
|---|---|---|
| Hours per day | 5–6 hours | 3 hours |
| Days per week | 5 days | 3 days |
| Individual therapy | 3×/week | 1×/week |
| Psychiatric oversight | Daily availability | Weekly check-in |
| Best for | Crisis stabilization, step-down from inpatient, complex diagnoses | Maintenance, step-down from PHP, working professionals |

We offer profession-specific and population-specific IOP tracks to ensure your treatment addresses the unique stressors of your life:
Evening sessions designed for firefighters, police officers, and EMTs. Trauma-informed care with peers who understand the job. Addresses cumulative trauma, PTSD, hypervigilance, and the unique stigma of seeking help in first responder culture.
After-school scheduling for teachers and education professionals. Focused on burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, and the emotional toll of caring for students. Sessions available after 4 PM to accommodate school schedules.
Our core IOP program for women navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, and life transitions. Evidence-based group and individual therapy in a women-only environment with flexible evening scheduling.
Our dedicated Jewish Women's IOP track provides the same clinical rigor as our general program within a culturally integrated framework. Group therapy addresses frum-specific stressors — navigating sobriety at kiddushim and l'chaims, managing anxiety around Yom Tov hosting, processing the shame of needing help in a community that values self-sufficiency, and rebuilding identity as a bas Yisroel in recovery. Individual sessions integrate Torah values with evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR). Scheduling respects zmanim, and the environment is women-only and kosher. Available in evening sessions to accommodate mothers, working women, and women maintaining community responsibilities during treatment.
| Day | Time | Activity |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 5:00–8:00 PM | Group therapy + psychoeducation workshop |
| Wednesday | 5:00–8:00 PM | Individual therapy + process group |
| Friday | 5:00–8:00 PM | Holistic therapy (yoga/mindfulness) + skills group |
Schedule may vary based on your specific track and clinical needs. Daytime sessions also available for women not working or on leave.
For Jewish women, the weekly IOP rhythm integrates naturally with the structure of frum life. Monday and Wednesday evening sessions allow you to manage your home, children, and community responsibilities during the day. Friday sessions are adjusted seasonally — in winter months when Shabbos comes early, Friday programming moves to a weekday or earlier time slot so you are never compromising hadlakas neiros.
Between sessions, the skills you build in group — emotional regulation, distress tolerance, cognitive restructuring — are practiced in the context of your actual life. You practice mindfulness not in a sterile clinical setting but while preparing for Shabbos. You practice boundary-setting not with hypothetical scenarios but with real mechutanim, real community expectations, real family dynamics. The clinical work is rigorous. The context is yours.

Yes. Our IOP offers evening sessions (5:00–8:00 PM) specifically designed for working professionals. You can maintain your job, school, or family responsibilities while receiving intensive treatment.
Yes. Most major insurance plans cover IOP services. Our admissions team will verify your benefits and explain your coverage before treatment begins. Call (786) 504-7626 for free insurance verification.
IOP typically lasts 6–12 weeks, though duration varies based on individual progress and clinical needs. Some women transition to outpatient care sooner, while others benefit from a longer IOP engagement. We review progress regularly and adjust your plan accordingly.
After IOP, most women step down to our Outpatient Program (weekly individual therapy and optional group sessions) for continued support. We also offer alumni resources and ongoing holistic therapy access.
No. Many women enter IOP directly without completing PHP first. IOP is appropriate for women whose symptoms are significant but manageable enough to maintain daily functioning with structured evening support.
No. Our Jewish Women's IOP track welcomes women across the full spectrum of Jewish life and observance — Orthodox, Modern Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, traditional, and culturally Jewish. The program is built around shared Jewish identity and experience, not a specific level of observance. Whether you keep full Shabbos or connect to your Jewishness in other ways, you belong here. The common thread is that your Jewish identity matters to your healing, and your treatment should reflect that.
Yes. While our primary IOP sessions are in the evening (5:00–8:00 PM), we also offer daytime session options for women who prefer to attend while children are in school. We work with each client individually to find a schedule that supports both your recovery and your family responsibilities. Many frum mothers find that the evening schedule actually works well — children are home with their father or a trusted family member, and the mother returns after bedtime. We discuss scheduling in detail during your intake assessment.
We understand that for frum women, the decision to enter IOP carries concerns that extend beyond clinical outcomes. You may worry about who will see you arriving at the office. You may worry about what to tell your community, your children's school, your husband's chavrusas. You may worry that your participation in treatment will surface during shidduch inquiries for your children years from now.
IKANN Wellness operates under 42 CFR Part 2 — the strictest federal confidentiality standard in healthcare, specifically designed for substance abuse and mental health treatment. We do not confirm or deny the presence of any client to any person or institution without your explicit written authorization. Our evening scheduling means you attend sessions when most community activities have concluded. Your recovery is between you, your treatment team, and Hashem. No one else needs to know.
